High school wrestling taught Kenny that there are no shortcuts to physical fitness; results only come through hard work and consistency. However, he always treated running as a last resort when he needed to build his Kardio. In 2019, feeling trapped in a career rut, he decided to pursue growth through self inflicted suffering by running 5k every day in October for a total of 100 miles. By the end of the month, he developed a love of running that progressed into multiple half and full marathons; sprint, olympic, and long course triathlons, and long distance bike races. His love of running while listening to energizing music inspired him to cofound Kardio Karaoke with his brother Kirk.
